Here is a pic with reverse kerfing. I couldn't find any regular kerfing, but all you have to do is rotate the clamp 180 degrees to use regular triangular kerfing.

Lance: I called Taylor guitars at 800-943-6782 and told the operator that I wanted to order a set of kerfing clamps. I believe they transferred my call to customer service. Told them I wanted to buy a set and they sent them on my credit card.
Good luck!    Tom H

Yeah, that is what I was wondering too... on softer woods like mahogany, I wonder if that contact point makes indentations on the sides.

I have not used them on Mahogany, only EIR. To me they do not put near as much point pressure as some clothespins or office supply clamps do. I'll put a few on some mahogany scraps, leave em for a few days and see what happens; need to do that for myself anyway. I am using a Nikon coolpix 995 for the pictures, hand held, no tripod; it really looks nice when using a tripod.
See you guys as ASIA! I need to ask about replacement rubber bands, I had that same question in my mind today as I was photographing.
D.L., Oops, things got detoured a bit. Getting back to the Frank Ford kerfing strip bandsaw jig... I don't have one but intend to build it 'someday'. It looks like a good jig to use for someone who doesn't build a whole lot of guitars per year, and I'd rather be able to quickly make a few kerfing strips when they're needed than wait (and pay) for shipping on the store-bought ones.

Does yours work well? Do the kerfs come out looking good, with even spacing between the slots?
buddy lee
Yes, it works very well with evenly spaced kerfs. The kerf width is easily adjustable. It takes only a couple of minutes to do a strip, and will do any style of kerfed strip you prefer. I never have to buy them or pay shipping charges, and always have plenty on hand in any kind of wood I prefer.

I do every aspect of the building process that I can because I enjoy doing it, and I have more control over the quality of the materials that I work with.
